Founding Member Terms

Last updated: 3 June 2026

1. The offer

Pulse Listings is opening with a limited founding crew across DJs, bands & acts, promoters and venues.

  • First 10 founding spots: top-tier listing free for life.
  • Next 25 spots: top-tier listing free for 3 months, then standard pricing applies.

No card is required to claim a founding spot. Spots are awarded in the order applications are approved.

2. Why it's free

Founding members help bring Pulse to life — they are the listings, gigs and events that pull real visitors onto the platform. Free-for-life status is granted in exchange for keeping the site genuinely active.

3. Activity minimums

To keep founding status, every founding member must contribute traffic-driving content over each rolling 12-month period from the date their listing goes live:

  • DJs, bands & acts: at least 12 gig listings per year (average of one per month). A gig counts when it appears on Pulse with a date, venue and time before the event takes place.
  • Promoters: at least 12 events per year posted on Pulse (average of one per month), each promoted to your own audience at least once.
  • Venues: at least 12 events per year hosted at the venue and listed on Pulse (average of one per month), whether posted by the venue or a promoter tagged to it.

All founding members are also asked to link to their Pulse profile from at least one of their public channels (website, Instagram, Linktree or similar) so traffic flows both ways.

4. Review & revocation

We review founding activity at the end of each rolling 12-month period. If the minimums above are not met:

  • You will receive a written warning by email with a 30-day grace period to bring activity up to the minimum.
  • If the minimum is still not met after the grace period, founding status is revoked and the listing moves to standard paid pricing at the equivalent tier. You can downgrade or cancel at that point with no exit fee.
  • Revoked founding spots may be reopened to a new applicant.

Genuine breaks — illness, parental leave, touring abroad, venue closure for refurbishment, etc. — can be paused for up to 90 days by emailing us before the period ends. Pauses extend the review window, they don't reduce the annual minimum.

5. Fair-use & quality

Listings must be real, in the United Kingdom, and reflect work the founding member is actually doing. Fake gigs, recycled past events, duplicate listings, AI-generated event spam or anything posted purely to hit the minimum will not count and may result in immediate revocation of founding status.

6. Transfer & account changes

Founding status is tied to the listing and the person or organisation that signed up. It is not transferable on sale of a project, rebrand to an unrelated act, or change of venue ownership without our written approval. If the listing is deleted, the founding spot is forfeited.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect platform changes. Material changes (anything that affects the free-for-life promise, the activity minimum, or the revocation process) will be emailed to founding members at least 30 days before they take effect. The free-for-life price itself will not be increased for the first 10 founding spots.
