Born from a love of live music and a frustration with the odds stacked against the little guy.
Pulse Listings is the brainchild of founder Tom. After years of watching talented DJs, bands and acts struggle to get noticed while big-name promoters soaked up all the attention, he decided to build something different — a platform that puts the underdog first.
What started as a simple idea to help a few friends find gigs has grown into a UK-wide movement to showcase emerging artists, grassroots events and independent venues that deserve a spotlight.
The music industry does not make it easy for newcomers. Booking fees, algorithm games and pay-to-play schemes squeeze out the very people who make nights memorable. We believe that should change.
While we are not perfect, we strive to level the playing field for the UK music community and put raw talent centre stage — not just the acts with the biggest marketing budget.
Pulse Listings is currently a not-for-profit project. Every act, promoter, venue and business listed on the site gets a free listing — no catches, no hidden fees, no paywalls to be seen.
We are not here to extract value from the scene. We are here to add to it. If that means running lean, sleeping less and building in public, so be it.
From basement bars in Brighton to warehouse raves in Glasgow, we are mapping the real UK music scene — not just the postcode lottery that the algorithms favour. If you are putting on a night, spinning records or hosting talent, you belong here.
